WITH ANOTHER VICTORY in one of the games of the round, the Toronto Eagles have secured second spot on the OAFL ladder.

This weekend the Eagles battle the Toronto Rebels at Humber North, in what should be a very entertaining match.

The Eagles have been sizzling over the past three weeks, hitting form with finals just around the corner. Strong running and impressive play around the ground have become habitual for the Eagles, who will be looking to make a statement this weekend.

The Rebels have had an interesting 2009 season, blooding some new talent and ringing in a new era for the club with a new kit.

With only two wins to their name, this has defiantly been a poor year for the Rebels. They will be looking to finish the season on a positive note, hopefully with a victory in their next two outings.

This should be an entertaining game of football, so head to Humber North early and get set for some great football action.

STRENGTHS
Hard running, hard working, skillful seem to be common statements about the 2009 Toronto Eagles.

With some excellent displays of football the past three weeks, expect more as the Eagles start preparing for the post season.

POTENTIAL WEAKNESSES

The Eagles will need to pay considerable respect to their opponents this weekend.

Even though they are clear favorites, their opponents have nothing to lose and will be ready for a match.

AT THE SELECTION TABLE

With only a few outs, once again coach Falcioni has an assortment of players to choose from this week.

DANGERMAN
Ajit Alister: Alister has been playing some good football the past month, but will be looking to bring it up a notch with finals around the corner.

With his strength up forward and strong work in the ruck position expect to see some of his best football in the coming weeks.

IT'S NOT GENERALLY KNOWN...
For the past three seasons (including this one) the Eagles have only face the Rebels once each season.

The views in this article are those of the author and not necessarily those of the club.
