AFTER DISMANTLING the Dingo’s last weekend, the Toronto Eagles come into round 8 looking at cementing their position on the OAFL ladder.

This weekend the Eagles will face another traditional rival in the High Park Demons, the other original OAFL team in the leagues inaugural season, in the OAFL's 1000th game.

Eagles president, Les Milborn see this as a milestone in the history of the club "This is one of those historic event that will be remember by many in the league and the Toronto Eagles are honoured to be competing in the match" Milborn stated.

Coach Aaron Falcioni, fully aware of the historic importance of this weekend’s match, wants his side to stay focus on the task at hand and not get carried away in the festivities. "Yeah, this is an important milestone for the league but we need to remember the importance of the game for us" Falcioni stated "We have an opportunity to cement our position on the ladder and prepare for next week’s massive clash versus the Roos."

The Eagles come into the match in some red hot form. In the past four rounds they have defeated three of the contenders, destroying two of them. The Eagles are looking to hold on to second spot on the OAFL ladder.

With the exception of their shock win against the Rebels, the Demons have struggled this season. Having played many from the top tier of the league hasn't been an easy task for the young side. The good news, the Demons have been blooding new talent and setting themselves up for future years.

This weekend’s match is set to be a celebration of football in OAFL history and hopefully a memorable day for all football lovers in Canada.

STRENGTHS
The Eagles quick ball movement and hard running will be too much for a young Demons side to control.

POTENTIAL WEAKNESSES

As in the previous weeks, underestimating their opponent could be an area the Eagles may faultier this weekend. While High Park has been below average this weekend the Eagles still need to give them respect.

AT THE SELECTION TABLE
Coach Aaron Falcioni once again will have a full list to work with this weekend. Expect a top side for this weekend's 1000th game.

DANGERMAN
Troy Marsh: Marsh has been playing some excellent football over the past few games and is set to continue with his great form. With great ball movement, fantastic skills and great goal kicking expect another BOG this weekend.

IT'S NOT GENERALLY KNOWN...
The Toronto Eagles and High Park Demons were the two original OAFL teams in the OAFL's inaugural season back in 1989.
